Lands of Lore Wiki

The Speaking Stones are a set of spell devices used to record moments in history. Created by a pair of Dracoid scholars, the intent was to preserve the historical record after the last Dracoid Emperor Ak'Salar decreed all written records burned, pictographs obliterated, and the royal court executed for their nation's collaboration with the dark god Belial during the War of the Heretics, replaced by the heavily-doctored Dracoid Chronicles. Over time, these Speaking Stones were discovered by other races who, intentionally or otherwise, recorded the events of their present time as well. These Stones altogether provide a series of brief glimpses throughout the ages of the Lands.
