The Confidante is an otherwise unnamed shifty and paranoid Huline found in the alleyway of the Huline Village. He appears to harbor an intense hatred for the village cheiftan Anyar. When approached he gives Luther the password to the Thieves' Den - "Anhkman" - before ducking back behind the crates and disappearing. This password will allow Luther to get in touch with Muari, a "businessman" who can potentially be hired to steal the Great Sword Firestorm from the blacksmith Kit'yara in exchange for killing Kelsrick.
If Luther has not yet visited Kit'yara's Hut in the Huline Jungle, the Confidante will be absent and likewise access to the Thieves Den will be unavailable until after he does.
If Luther slays Anyar and returns to the alleyway, the Confidante will be thrilled and begin giving Luther his "next assignment" before Luther cuts him off and he walks away for the final time.

Luther: Pssst? What need is their for secrecy here?
The Confidante: Things are not as they seem - Anyar must be destroyed! He has a horde, you know...
Luther: What? I'm not following you here.
The Confidante: Good. I dislike being followed. Now remember, the password is "Ankhman".
Luther: Actually I think the password is fruitcake.
After killing Anyar
The Confidante: Good work! You are a true patriot.
Luther: Me? A patriot? That's... VERY ironic that you would say so, but that's a long story and I'll not bore you.
The Confidante: Your next assignment will be to -
Luther: Next assignment? What are you, nuts?
The Confidante: Us? Nuts!? I see we have misjudged your capacity for work! I will contact you after I speak to headquarters...
