The Bracers of the Dead are a pair of arm-slot armor and quest items in Lands of Lore: Guardians of Destiny. While offering no Protection, it's required to speak with the ghostly Ka'Dan and Emperor Ak'Salar in the Dracoid Cemetery in Luther's quest to obtain Silverleaf.
Later, when the Great Worm is defeated and Luther washes up on the shores of the River Bane, Luther will be approached by Dawn and (depending on his interactions with her up to this point) she'll either ask for or demand the Bracers needed for her research. In the former, she'll give Luther the Control Totem and a Speaking Stone; in the later she turns hostile. In either case, the only use for the Bracers beyond this point are to hear the final line of dialogue from Ak'Salar's spirit, although this is not required as the Silverleaf plants will sprout throughout the graveyard on Luther's return regardless.
